About UsThe Rite Foundation was created out of a desire to make our world a better place. Each program is designed to be an integral part of a whole life approach that will link formal education and much needed “life education” together with community service. Many years ago, life education was taught by older relatives or elders in our neighborhoods. Our world has changed and our children are commonly not now receiving this education. The Rite Foundation helps to prepare children as they journey through each stage of life by imparting knowledge, teaching essential skills, and setting expectations for the future. As the child progresses along the path to becoming a responsible, contributing member of society, each stage is acknowledged and celebrated. Programs are age appropriate and taught by members of The Rite Foundation’s “Community”.
Our definition of Community is…knowledgeable and appropriately engaged adults who have an interest in sharing their knowledge of self, good citizenship and responsible adult behavior with our youth. Founded in 2006, The Rite Foundation operates several programs that are offered to the public on an ongoing basis. The programs can be adapted to serve a particular family, culture or organization. We are guided by our Board of Directors: - Agatha Achindu - Taneisha Lee - Kim Latimore - Sherri Sims _ |
